Unfortunately, this version of It Takes Two does not have cross-platform play, meaning those on different devices can't play with someone on the Nintendo Switch. Both players will also need to create or sign in to their EA account. In both scenarios involving two Nintendo Switch devices, all a person has to do is send an invitation for a player to join them in a game. If the two players are on different Wi-Fi networks, they must each get the game on their device and then connect through Online Co-Op. If the two players are on the same Wi-Fi network and each have a Switch, each player can download the game on their devices and connect through Local Wireless Play. From here, individuals can pick their character and begin. After purchasing and booting up the game, simply connect two controllers, one for each player. If two people are in the same room, they can play the game on the same device through Couch Co-Op. There are three methods that players can use to play It Takes Two with another player.
